Drake's Explanation

Via: MTV & (http://allthings-fresh.net/blog/)

Drake’s new video for “Best I Ever Had,” directed by Kanye West, premiered Wednesday night. In it, Drizzy coaches a basketball team of well-endowed female lovelies, clad in revealing pink uniforms, who face a more focused and skillful squad of women. Coach Drake doesn’t seem heartbroken that his hoopers won’t exactly draw comparisons to the Dream Team.

“Some of us younger men, we refer to our affiliation with women like a roster,” Drake explained the clip’s concept to MTV News. “You have key women in your life when you’re single and doing your thing.”

“Best I Ever Had” is the first video from his debut LP, Thank Me Later, which he aims to release later this year, now that he’s signed to Lil Wayne’s Young Money label. Of course he does. He’s red-hot right now, thanks to the mixtape So Far Gone.

“I just gotta get this tour knocked out,” he said earlier this week, smiling about going on the road as part of the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival, which will feature Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy Tell’em and Young Jeezy. “I am working on [the album] right now. I’ve actually started. I was in the studio with Pharrell, and it’s basically a pretty lax process for us.

“Basically, So Far Gone worked,” he continued, telling about his strategy for the highly anticipated LP. “So, let’s just try to do it again. You know, let’s try and act as if we were making a second disc to So Far Gone.”

So seeing they put this year’s BET Awards on a Sunday night (smart programming on their part, people are home and there’s nothing else to watch) I was home to watch all 4 hours of it! I’ve decided to save those of you who haven’t seen it some trouble and sum it up in as little words as possible.

First of all as everything had to be changed last minute because of last week’s tragic death of a Legend , so I would forgive them for their lack of being on-point with things in addition to being live.

Jamie Fox did a VERY good job hosting the show. He was funny all the way through to the end and make the transition from singer to comedian to host in a dope way. There wasn’t a dull moment when he was out.

He performed twice singing “Blame it on the alcohol” and a MJ tribute alongside Ne-yo singing “I’ll Be there”

Jay-z came out and performed DOA for the first time ever KILLIN IT, My eyes were glued to the screen behind him tryna make out the DOA music video! lol i gotta say thank GOD he shaved that rug off his head before the show and didnt come out with those spike lee shades he's been rocking .

Performance was epic and im sure Tpain among others where out there shittin bricks at the obvious references. I wonder if this will change anything….

Na-na-naaaa naa Na-na-naaaa naa Hey Hey Hey…….

HELL YEAH this was one of the proudest moments for me hopefully for all of you too, our boy Drizzy hit the stage! He performed “Best I Ever Had” and “Every Girl” with young money. Of course he did all this for a stool, sources on my Twitter told me he apparently tore his ACL prior to the performance.

We’re just glad to see him get this far! Just yesterday I saw this dude walkin the mall and he made it to the BET awards GO ‘HEAD! Toronto Stand UP!

This had to be the most coonish thing of the night, I was SOO happy for Taraji P. Henson to FINALLY win SOMETHING and while she was up for her acceptance Tyrese came out and this turned into a Baby Boy reunion. That part of it I didn’t mind until “nignant” Ving Rhames came out and said some stupid shit “Repeat after me, MJ is GUNS”……yea until now I don’t know what he meant and it seems the crowd did either…

Lastly the most heartbreaking part would have to be Janet’s appearance, she could barely hold back tears as she thanked everybody for their support. Oh man she was pretty strong for coming out. This just made me more mad at the fact Joe Jackson was sitting front row for all of the show looking cool and unbothered as ever….
